Follow the Rector’s example: undergo a medical examination at the KBSU University Clinic
Acting rector of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov Yuri Altudov underwent an annual medical examination at the university clinic.
The head of the university took the necessary tests and visited all the specialists, including a cardiologist, endocrinologist, neurologist, narcologist and psychiatrist. This took no more than an hour.
Yuri Altudov urged students and employees of KBSU not to neglect their health and follow his example, emphasizing that disease prevention is the key to a long and active life.
As reported by the director of the university clinic Zhaneta Sabanchieva, the medical examination will last until the end of February. It is planned to examine more than 1,800 people.
After undergoing the medical examination Yuri Kambulatovich met with the medical staff.
The university clinic has all the conditions for a comfortable and in-depth examination. In addition, it also serves as a place where students of the medical academy receive the necessary theoretical and practical skills, and young scientists conduct various studies.
Theoretical classes in a number of disciplines are held for students of the medical academy. The teachers are doctors of science, professors, associate professors and also practicing doctors. Together with them, students take part in consultations, examine patients and perform medical manipulations. In this way, they acquire the skills of a procedural nurse or an assistant to a hospital doctor. This is the foundation from which any doctor begins his path to the profession, regardless of his future specialization.
And in the clinical laboratory, any postgraduate student can conduct scientific research and then write a candidate’s dissertation.
In general, the university clinic is a symbiosis of education, science and medicine.
