Festive events on the Day of Statehood of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic

Festive events have begun in Kabardino-Balkaria, timed to coincide with the Statehood Day of the republic, which will be held on September 1 — a day off. Traditionally, on this day, state awards will be presented at the Government House of the KBR.

On August 29-30, the honored ensemble of the Russian Federation Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society is on tour in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria under the baton of the chief conductor, people’s artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Alekseev. For two days, the illustrious team will give concerts at the Musical Theater named after M. Gorky.

The main events will take place on September 1st.

In the schools of the republic there will be solemn assembly and class hours dedicated to the beginning of the school year and the Day of Statehood of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

The pedestrian part of Kabardinskaya Street will host the exhibition «Nalchik» in graphics and fonts.

The National Museum will open the exhibition «Years and People» in genre and portrait painting by artists of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

Celebrations dedicated to the Day of Knowledge will be held in the parks and squares of Nalchik.

From 8 to 30 September in the pavilion of the park of the 100th anniversary of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the exhibition «Urban Chronicles» will be open.

On September 9, several city events will be held at once. The Green Theater will host a festive concert of masters of arts of the KBR «My land, my republic.» Equestrian competitions will be organized at the Nalchik hippodrome. Celebrations dedicated to the Day of the city of Nalchik will be held in the parks and squares of the city. The Atazhukinsky Garden will host festivities, city attractions and a zoo for children under 12 will operate free of charge.

The festival of street theaters «City of Happiness» will be held from September 9 to 10 at Abkhazia Square, Kurortny Square, the pedestrian part of Kabardinskaya Street. Film screenings in the open air will be held in Kurortny Square and on the pedestrian part of Kabardinskaya Street.

On September 10-11, a multi-day cycling race «Friendship of the Peoples of the North Caucasus» will be held in the republic. Competitions will be held among men and juniors as part of the championship and championship of Russia in cycling.

On September 16-17, a festival of flowers will be organized on the «Consent» square.

The entertainment program «Family Weekend» will be held on the fourth city lake in Nalchik on September 23.

A retrospective exhibition about the Nalchik resort, a competition among chefs of the sanatorium and resort complex, and an open-air film screening of retro films will be held on September 23-24 in Kurortny Square.

A festive concert for employees of the sanatorium, tourism industry and guests of the republic with an award ceremony will be held on September 27 at the Nalchik Resort Hall.

The release of special issues of republican newspapers and magazines in September will be dedicated to the Statehood Day of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

On October 8, an exhibition of achievements of the agro-industrial complex of the republic will be held on Abkhazia Square, and on October 14-15, a gastronomic festival will be held on Abkhazia Square.
