Exercises with the Olympic champion. A unique flash mob for World Health Day was held at KBSU
Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, member of the Kabardino-Balkarian Parliament Murat Kardanov, as part of a flash mob dedicated to World Health Day, conducted morning exercises at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.
The famous wrestler, who currently holds the post of vice-speaker of the republic’s highest legislative body, changed his usual business suit for a tracksuit and showed the students of the university’s medical academy exercises from his arsenal.
Then the people’s representative took part in therapeutic exercises conducted by Anna Konopleva, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Department of Theory and Technology of Physical Culture and Sports at KBSU.
The exercises showed that 25 years after the Sydney Olympics, Murat Kardanov is still in good physical shape. The Vice Speaker of the Parliament highly praised the exercises, noting that he would take some of them into service. After the exercises, the participants’ pulse was measured — the physical activity was easy for everyone.
The director of the KBSU University Clinic Zhaneta Sabanchieva and associate professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Medical Academy Irina Zhetisheva, as organizers of the flash mob, told the guest about the university’s capabilities for medical rehabilitation of patients using therapeutic exercise.
I think such a joint master class was useful for everyone. Murat Kardanov clearly demonstrated that you can be in excellent physical shape with the help of simple exercises. And we showed the guest that the KBSU University Clinic has extensive capabilities for the rehabilitation of inclusive children,
— noted Zhaneta Sabanchieva.
According to the head of the university clinic, a medical examination recently conducted at the university identified several students who need restorative rehabilitation treatment. They have been put on notice and will be treated for free.
They plan to invite Olympic silver medalist in freestyle wrestling Aniuar Geduev to the next flash mob.
