English congratulations from former employees of KBSU

October 14 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, within the framework of the anniversary of the university, a round table «Teaching English for many years» was held by the Department of foreign languages. It is a long and good tradition of KBSU to honor veterans who have worked at the university for many years and contributed to its development. This year the event was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the university. Such meetings are a great opportunity to once again say thanks to our dear teachers for everything they have done for their native university, republic and country.

“Undoubtedly, your work is a vivid example for imitation, for educating our youth,” shared the head of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​Rita Kenetova. – You are real creators, many of you stood at the origins of the development of our department and even taught the current generation of teachers. To this day I remember your motherly warm attitude towards us».

As planned by the organizers, the round table was held in foreign languages, which are taught at the department. The youth had the opportunity to communicate with real old-timers of the Department of Foreign Languages, to receive valuable advice and recommendations on pedagogical work. The younger ones thanked the elders for their contribution to the development of foreign language training for KBSU students, recalled interesting facts of university life. At the end of the meeting, the participants took a photo together, all teachers received small gifts with the logo of the university.

For reference: The Department of Foreign Languages ​​was born on the basis of the Faculty of Philology of the Kabardino-Balkarian Pedagogical Institute in the mid-50s of the last century, namely in 1956. The department conducts foreign language training of bachelors and masters in English. The department fully implements the main directions of educational and methodological work: providing advisory and methodological assistance to full-time, part-time and part-time students in preparation for classes, tests and exams in the academic disciplines «Foreign (English) language» and «Business foreign language”, in the selection of literature and the design of abstracts and presentations.
