Employees of KBSU took part in the All-Russian Educational Forum of Young Diplomats

120 young talents from all over the country took part in the All-Russian Educational Forum for Young Diplomats, organized as part of the educational program «Diplomats of the Future» of the Association of Russian Diplomats with the assistance of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Russian Society «Knowledge» and the International Chodiev Foundation.

From July 10–13, 2023, school diplomatic clubs of Moscow, Stavropol, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Territories, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Bashkortostan, the Republic of Khakassia, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Tver, Bryansk, Kaluga, Ryazan, sent their representatives to the Mashuk Knowledge Center (Pyatigorsk), Kaliningrad regions of Russia, as well as the city of Tashkent (Uzbekistan). Novice diplomats had the opportunity to improve their knowledge at master classes conducted by experienced mentors and lecturers from the Russian Knowledge Society.

Among them is the director of the Social and Humanitarian Institute of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov Muslim Tamazov, who conducted the master class «The Logic of a Reasoned Speech», Aksana Karasheva, Head of the Department for Pre-university Training and Career Guidance of the KBSU, who told the forum participants about ethno-cultural traditions as points of tourist interest, as well as the Chairman of the KBROO «Mountain Breeze» Aslan Mazukabzov, who spoke about the peculiarities of the languages of the peoples of the Caucasus.

Thanks to a lecturer from KBSU, forum users learned how to properly build an oratory using arguments and evidence, what methods of persuasion there are, got acquainted with the basic laws of logic (the Law of Identity, the Law of Contradiction, the Law of the Excluded Middle, the Law of Sufficient Reason), etc.

At the master class by Muslim Tamazov, the children learned how to debate on the topic “Customs and traditions in modern society play an important role”, during which several important rules had to be observed: the information must be true, the arguments must be correct, based on facts, relevant to the topic of the debate, without becoming personal, you must also refrain from using non-business statements.

The director of school No. 1 in Stavropol Irina Shatskaya and the director of the MKOU «Gymnasium No. 4» took an active part in the development of the forum program.

It should be noted that the project «Profile diplomatic class» is being implemented with the help of KBSU in the Gymnasium No. 4 of the city of Nalchik since 2018. Its goal is to develop the skills of public (public) diplomacy among the younger generation.

The Social and Humanitarian Institute and the department for pre-university training and career guidance work of the KBSU take an active part in the implementation of the project. University teachers for students of the diplomatic class conducted classes in psychology, rhetoric, diplomatic etiquette, international law, imageology and logic and other humanitarian subjects necessary for the formation of diplomatic consciousness.

Students of the diplomatic class MKOU «Gymnasium No. 4» Nalchik and students of KBSU took a joint part in conferences, the implementation of the project «Caucasian model of the UN «HOUSE OF THE WORLD», etc.

The experience of this work was announced at the All-Russian Educational Forum for Young Diplomats and was highly appreciated by the expert community.
