Welcome address KBSU Rector Yuri Altudov was read to the PSU staff by IPEiF Director Elena Mashukova:
Dear Alexander Pavlovich, professors, teachers, students, graduate students and graduates of Pyatigorsk State University! Allow me on behalf of the staff of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after. HM. Berbekova to congratulate you on two significant dates — the 85th anniversary of Pyatigorsk State University and the 10th anniversary of the PSU Law Institute.
Any anniversary is an occasion to compare the past and the present. PSU strives to achieve its mission, fulfilling the role of an educational (creative and innovative) university, “a university that opens and transforms the world.” The staff of Pyatigorsk State University has many bright victories and well-deserved awards, and its high intellectual potential contributes to the achievement of the strategic goal — to become an advanced educational, scientific and peacekeeping center that trains universally unique personnel for the economy of the region, the country and the world.
Over the past ten years, the PSU Law Institute has acquired the status of a center for the development of legal education and science, increasing the level of legal literacy of the population in the region. The teaching staff of the institute trains highly qualified professionals who are ready to cope with modern challenges of the Russian legal system.
We heartily congratulate you and wish you and the entire team of Pyatigorsk State University good health, prosperity, new successes and achievements.
The forum program includes three round tables: “Human rights: interaction between the state and civil society”, “The role of modern media in the election campaign”, “Current problems of electoral law and the electoral process in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation”.
