Release date: 06.11.2024

The experts focused on a wide range of problematic issues: the role of open data in the development of tourism: attracting guests, improving the quality of tourism services and developing tourism infrastructure; the most promising modern trends and the use of digital technologies in the tourism industry; training of personnel for the tourism industry.

Participation in the discussion allowed us to identify key trends in the development of the tourism industry and determine ways to train highly qualified personnel for the tourism and hospitality industry. The information received will be used to improve the educational programs of the Institute of Management, Tourism and Hospitality Industry of KBSU,

— commented Ramazan Ligidov, director of IMTiIG KBSU.

According to R. Ligidov, as part of the development strategy of IMTiIG KBSU, it is planned to make a number of changes to the educational process. Thus, data analysis and work with open sources will become an integral part of the training. Students will master the skills of working with big data in order to predict tourist flows, analyze the market and develop effective promotion strategies. Educational programs will be supplemented by courses on the use of modern digital technologies in tourism, including online booking, mobile applications, virtual and augmented reality. The university will actively interact with travel companies, providing students with opportunities for practice and internships, as well as developing joint projects. These initiatives, Ramazan Ligidov believes, will allow KBSU to graduate competitive specialists ready to work in the digital environment, which will have a positive impact on the development of tourism in Kabardino-Balkaria.

I am confident that modern approaches, advanced technologies, and best practices presented during the forum will contribute to solving the tasks set in the tourism and hospitality industry.
I would like to express special gratitude for the high level and scale of the event to the organizers of the forum, the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers, which this year included KBSU,

— Ramazan Ligidov emphasized.
