Diplomacy Is The Speaking In The Language Of Peace And Consent

November 10, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov together with Gymnasium №4 Nalchik opened the first diplomatic class in the North Caucasus Federal District.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the president of the International Circassian Association, Howty Sokhrokov, acting president. Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs of the KBR, Auy Kumykov; Rector of KBSU Yuri Altudov; Head of the All-Russian Grant Olympiad of MGIMO Gunay Abilova and many other heads of relevant departments, as well as schoolchildren and university students from foreign countries

The rector of the university and the director of the gymnasium signed a bilateral agreement “on network interaction of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University. H.M. Berbekov and the Resource Center for the Formation of Public Diplomacy Skills on the basis of the Municipal Educational Establishment «Grammar School No. 4» Nalchik. And then in the assembly hall of the school there was a solemn presentation of the cultural and educational project “Caucasian Model UN“ Hotbed of Peace ”and the work of the relevant diplomatic class, on whose platform the project is being implemented.

«The world is changing rapidly. Already obvious geopolitical multipolarity, dynamic change of landmarks. This have not happened before. Guys, I hope you will be not just witnesses of these processes, but also their active participants, fighting for peace and harmony», — addressed the participants of the project Aues Kumykov.

In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the city of Nalchik in peace and harmony representatives of more than a hundred ethnic groups live. In the multicultural educational environment of Nalchik gymnasium No. 4, children of more than 25 nationalities study. In KBSU — more than 1000 students from around the world. And the main necessity and advantage of a multicultural educational environment is the ability for dialogue and peaceful coexistence, the presence of public diplomacy skills. Understanding this geopolitical need has led to the creation of a joint diplomatic network project of the KBSU and a gymnasium, the purpose of which is to develop the skills of public (public) diplomacy among the younger generation: students of the diplomatic class and students of KBSU.

I hope that the idea that is incorporated in it will be fully implemented, and this will be of great benefit both to the students themselves and to the region as a whole. We sincerely welcomed the opening of the diplomatic class and wished all the guests of the ceremony further development of the project. As a gift to the diplomatic class were presented the complete works of Yevgeny Primakov, a ten-volume book of Karamzin “The History of the Russian State” and many more valuable literature.

«Today — at school, and tomorrow — at various civil forums, incl. international level, graduates of the diplomatic classes and the social and humanitarian institute of the KBSU will adequately participate in peaceful dialogues and represent the interests of their families, peoples, regions and states. I am sure that the Caucasian model of the UN will soon cover all the republics of the North Caucasus, and this project will be known all over Russia», — commented on the idea of ​​the project Rimma Nagoeva.

Since September 1, in addition to basic school subjects, on Saturdays, university teachers conduct classes on psychology, rhetoric, diplomatic etiquette, international law, imageology and logic, and other humanitarian subjects necessary for the formation of diplomatic consciousness.

The creation and implementation in the republic of the project “Caucasian model of the “Heartland of Peace” will allow students of the first diplomatic class, and quite possibly others who can join the network project, to participate in a multifaceted specific educational process, they will have many meetings and workshops with interesting people: diplomats, experts, representatives of public organizations of diplomatic orientation. Ahead of the trip and participation in various competitions, contests, festivals. The head of the All-Russian Grant Olympiad of MGIMO Gunay Abilova made a gift for the children — two of the most distinguished students of the project will be able to go to the MGIMO summer diplomatic camp. Members of the Government and deputies of the KBR Parliament declared their support for the network project.

The solemn ceremony was decorated with performances by amateur gymnasium and high school artists, and the meeting ended with a joint dance of friendship.
