Development of digital competencies of KBSU employees
From December 10 to December 27, 2021, a group of employees of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov was trained under the additional professional program «Formation and development of digital competencies of the teaching staff of educational institutions of higher education» Digital Professor «. Among them are Zalina Bogotova, Naima Bozieva, Bella Kazieva, Rakhima Malkarova and Aminat Sultanova. The organizer of the program is the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (PFUR). According to Bella Kazieva, Deputy Director for Teaching and Methodological Work and Digitalization of the Educational Process, Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit, the 144-hour program included the following modules: Intro (immersion in the program), digital literacy, digital educational resources, digital pedagogy (didactics), assessment and learning analytics, inclusiveness and individualization, information security, completion (passing the final test).
«Each module, with the exception of the Intro, was completed individually (asynchronously) on the learning platform of the program. I would like to note both the high quality of the training materials of the course, and the high level of its organization and conduct. The modules of the program consisted of 10-20 separate topics, each had the following structure: prerequisites, thesaurus, planned results (skills and abilities), training video and summary, list of references and additional materials. Consolidation of the acquired knowledge on the topics of ZUM was organized in the form of a quiz and a practical task. The final test consisted of 30 questions. In addition, all students of the program prepared a final individual project, which was the development of a scenario plan for the lesson. The methodology of its implementation was to be based on the principles of digital pedagogy using the knowledge, skills and competencies gained during the course «Digital Professor». The topic of the lesson was chosen by the students themselves. I prepared a lecture on the topic “Cyberethics and Digital Etiquette”, which I read in the discipline “Digital Information and Communication Technologies and Artificial Intelligence”. Projects were evaluated according to a number of criteria, it was necessary to score at least 60 points out of 100. The entire group of students from KBSU successfully coped with both the final testing and the implementation of individual projects. The other day we received certificates of advanced training», — commented Bella Kazieva.
In addition, three deputy directors of the Institute of Law, Economics and Finance — Gedgafova I.Yu., Shogentsukova Z.Kh., Kazieva B.V. — passed advanced training within the framework of the university’s digital development program at the course «Management based on data» of the non-state private educational institution of additional professional education «Kuban Courses».
