Decision of the Government of the Russian Federation: to create a military training center at KBSU

In accordance with Article 6 of the Federal Law “On Defense”, Order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated January 31, 2024 No. 186-r announces the creation of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov military training center for training qualified personnel in order to increase the country’s defense capability.

The necessary measures for the creation of military training centers specified in the order must be carried out by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science within the limits of the budgetary allocations provided for it in the federal budget.

Let us remind you that preparations for the opening of a military training center at KBSU have been taking place since the beginning of last year. On August 17, 2023, a joint commission of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on a comprehensive assessment of the implementation of the roadmap for the creation of a military training center at KBSU conducted a preliminary assessment of the readiness of the university. The purpose of the visit was to check the readiness of infrastructure facilities, equipment and regulatory documentation for compliance with the indicators of the road map for creating the KBSU OUV.

During the visit, members of the commission visited the building where the military training center will be located, examined classrooms, a parade ground, a shooting range, and got acquainted with the statutory and educational documentation of the KBSU educational educational center.

On September 26, 2023, at a meeting of the Board of the Ministry, which was held at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the head of the military department, Army General Sergei Shoigu, a proposal to open a military training center at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov was supported. And by this Order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the opening of the center received legitimate justification.
