«Dad, Mom, and I Are a Sports Family»: Friendly Family Competitions at KBSU

Release date: 22.12.2025

On the eve of the New Year, the traditional family sports competitions under the motto «Dad, Mom, and I Are a Sports Family» were held at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov. This year, 15 teams—family members of the university staff—competed for the title of fastest, most agile, and most friendly.

The Ozov, Antonenko, Bittirov, Shomakhov, Khashev, Mazloev, Mamreshev, Tkhagapsoev, Balagov, Sozaev, Pashtov, Tatarenko, Mukozhev, Gergokov, and Kishev families participated in the competition. Five vibrant and fun competitions provided everyone with unforgettable emotions and a wealth of positive experiences.

The children were especially eager to help their parents win, giving their all. However, the jury came to a unanimous conclusion: there were no losers—friendship prevailed!

At the awards ceremony, Igor Kobozev, Chairman of the KBSU Trade Union, emphasized the importance of such events:

«We hold these competitions to engage families in physical education and sports, to foster family cohesion, a sense of teamwork, and empathy. It’s wonderful to see how many active, athletic families we have, for whom participating together is not only fun but also a tradition.»
As a token of gratitude for their participation, each team received not only certificates but also a gift from the trade union—a smart speaker.

Furthermore, as part of this celebration, an awards ceremony was held for the winners and runners-up of the autumn Spartakiad among KBSU employees, dedicated to the university’s 93rd anniversary.
