Release date: 05.02.2026

As part of Science Week, the Institute of Management, Tourism, and Hospitality Industry of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov held a roundtable discussion on current issues in public and municipal administration.

During the meeting, members of the discussion club, led by Tatyana Nalchadzhi, PhD in Economics, presented their presentations on the government structure in various countries, such as South Africa, Germany, and Scotland.

Since 2023, the Institute of Management, Tourism, and Hospitality Industry (IMTIHI) has had a research club where students conduct research on the state and municipal structure of territories, which contributes to the development of practical skills and a deeper understanding of modern management processes.

Institute Director Ramazan Ligidov noted that such research is especially useful for students planning to blog about travel and introduce their audiences to the unique characteristics of different countries.

Valeria Kulikova, a third-year student majoring in Municipal Management, spoke about South Africa, a member of the BRICS group.

«After a thorough study, my understanding of South Africa has completely changed. I learned about the country’s system of government, its traditions, and its culture. It turns out that this is a unique country with three capitals: Pretoria (the administrative capital), Cape Town (the legislative capital), and Bloemfontein (the judicial capital),» the student shared.
The leadership of the Institute of Management, Tourism, and Hospitality Industry plans to continue supporting the discussion club, expanding the topics of the roundtables, and engaging experts from various fields.
