Christmas tree, fairy tale, magic… New Year’s performances were held at KBSU
Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov held traditional New Year’s performances for the children of the university staff. A fairy tale, in which good, of course, wins, was prepared by the student theater of KBSU «Curtain» under the direction of Madina Dokshukina.
For three days on December 24 and 25, 2022, each time, with a full house, the young actors played a fairy tale based on Yury Boganov’s play «Father Frost and the Magic Mirror» for kids and their families. On December 26, the performance was watched by pupils of the psycho-neurological boarding school in Nalchik. All-conquering kindness, deftly twisted fascinating plot, fabulous magic, sonorous laughter, shimmering Christmas tree lights, and, of course, a real New Year’s mood — that’s what these performances were remembered by the guests of KBSU. Students masterfully got used to the role of fairy-tale characters, so that the audience took their breath away at every magical mess. They were worried about Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden, and rejoiced when they managed to defeat the cunning forest evil spirits.
After the performance, the children and artists gathered in the lobby of the main building of the KBSU in order, according to tradition, to spin in a round dance around the Christmas tree and dance from the heart. Little spectators eagerly took pictures with fairy tale characters and were especially happy to receive sweet gifts prepared for them by the university trade union.
