«Career Day» at KBSU brings students and employers together
The Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov hosted the «Career Day» of the Institute of Management, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, dedicated to strategic issues of staffing the dynamically developing tourism industry.
The event, organized by the Career Development Center of KBSU, went beyond the traditional job fair, becoming a platform for an open discussion between students, teachers and key market players. The emphasis was on developing effective mechanisms for interaction between the university and employers to train highly qualified personnel.
Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Murat Guketlov noted:
Today, the success of any enterprise directly depends on the professionalism of its employees. This is why KBSU is so important for our republic as a forge of personnel. It is necessary that the educational programs maximally correspond to the needs of modern business, and that students receive not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills.
Kazan State University graduate and now Deputy General Director of the Consultant Plus Nagoev company Ruslan Dzagoev shared his own experience of career growth and spoke about the opportunities that his company provides for internships and obtaining practical skills. Representatives of employers also actively joined the dialogue: the head of the reception and accommodation service of the Azimut Hotel Marina Gergokova presented current vacancies and career growth prospects, and the director of the regional operational office of Promsvyazbank Azamat Nakhushev spoke about the unique corporate culture of the bank, working conditions and competitive salary level.
Head of the Career Development Department of KBSU Ratmir Kotsev, a lecturer of the Russian Society «Knowledge», reminded the meeting participants about the Digital Career Environment of KBSU:
This online resource allows employers to form a personnel reserve, and students and graduates to quickly find relevant vacancies that match their competencies and career ambitions.
Parting words to future specialists were heard from the head of the Department of Youth Policy and Educational Work of KBSU Rezuan Kumykov:
KBSU is not just a university, it is a platform for revealing the potential of each student. We actively promote the formation of a highly professional personnel reserve for Kabardino-Balkaria, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of our region.
At the end of the Career Day, an informal networking event was held, where students were able to directly communicate with company representatives, ask questions and receive valuable advice necessary for a successful career start. The meeting showed that KBSU, relying on close partnership with employers, successfully solves the problems of training qualified personnel in demand in the labor market of Kabardino-Balkaria.
