By the Eternal Flame
It is somehow unusual for May 9, on the Day of Great Victory, not to see crowded people, veterans, solemnly serious faces of cadets standing by the Eternal Flame, but it is not rain, but a duty … to each other that does not give us a public celebration today. And yet, no one can stop each of us from paying tribute to the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
From early morning, as if in service, keeping a distance and with thoughts of those who forged the Great Victory, people bring flowers to the foot of the obelisk. On behalf of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov ceremony was held by rector Yuri Altudov and the head of the trade union organization of the university Igor Kobozev.
Hundreds of students of those years, graduates and teachers of KBSU passed through the crucible of war, many fell, defending our great Motherland. Having fulfilled the sacred duty, they allowed subsequent generations of students to boldly look to the future, build ambitious plans, build and enjoy life. And today we bow our heads to the memory of our front-line soldiers, nurses, paramedics and respectfully recall those who brought Victory closer to the rear. Eternal memory and glory to them!
