Battle of Skills: A Professional Psychology Battle Was Held at KBSU

An innovative event combining elements of a business game and a professional competition was held at the Institute of Pedagogics, Psychology, and Physical Education and Sports Education at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov. Students studying clinical psychology and consulting psychology met on the same platform.

This intellectual battle was initiated by Ruzana Pshigausheva, a senior lecturer at the institute.

The main objective of the meeting was to assess the theoretical training and practical competencies of future specialists through a lively dialogue.

Participants had to complete three stages of testing. During case studies, students analyzed clinical cases, learning to differentiate between serious mental disorders and age-related crises.

The most heated debates erupted during an ethical discussion around the issue of confidentiality in couples therapy. The creative competition was held in the style of the game «Crocodile.» Future psychologists used humor and artistry to portray complex professional terms.

This competition not only deepened their knowledge but also provided students with a positive energy boost from the interaction.
