At KBSU, they speak their native languages ​​about the Great Victory

May 18 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov summed up the results of the essay competition in native languages ​​»No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten», dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory, in which more than 200 students of 5-11 grades of educational institutions from different regions of the republic took part.

The initiators of the competition were the Department of the Kabardino-Circassian Language and Literature, the Department of Karachay-Balkarian Philology of the State Institute of Economics, the Department of Theory of State and Law of the IPEiF with the support of the Department of Pre-University Training and Career Guidance of KBSU.

“By organizing this competition, we set the task of preserving the historical memory of the feat and heroism of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, introducing young people to the ideas of humanism, forming a deep interest in the study of the historical and cultural heritage of the country and the region, promoting civil and patriotic education of schoolchildren by attracting the younger generation to study the events of the Great Patriotic War, stimulate the creative activity of children in the field of learning their native languages, in particular the Kabardino-Circassian and Karachai-Balkarian languages, promote interethnic understanding and mutual respect, «commented the head of the Kabardino-Circassian language and literature department Khamisha Timizhev.

The awarding of diplomas to the winners and prize-winners of the competition among students of grades 5-6, grades 7-8 and grades 9-11 was held in a solemn atmosphere and was accompanied by creative performances of both young and well-known artists in the republic who read poems and sang songs about the war in Russian , Kabardian and Balkar languages.

The songs «Cranes», «Victory Day», «In the Dugout», «Dark Night» in the Kabardian language performed by the popular singers in the republic Eldar Dymov, Aslan Biev and Sergei Arengold sounded in a new way.

As the candidate of philosophical sciences Eldar Dymov said, together with the Kabardino-Balkarian republican public organization «Patriot», they, together with the assistant professor of the Kabardino-Circassian language and literature Vyacheslav Unatlokov, are implementing the project «Translations of war songs into national languages.» 10 songs have already been translated.
