Adyghe dictation was written at KBSU

Release date: 17.03.2025

KBSU joined the seventh traditional International educational campaign «Adyghe dictation» on the Day of the Adyghe (Circassian) Language and Writing. It is written on the initiative of the International Circassian Association (ICA) with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

380 people decided to test their knowledge of their native language at KBSU. These are teachers and students, representatives of the ICA, cultural workers and public figures of Kabardino-Balkaria.

President of the International Circassian Association Khauti Sokhrokov, speaking with a welcoming speech, noted:

Adyghe dictation is not just an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge, but also an important step towards preserving and developing our language. Language is a living reflection of our culture, our history and our unity. Every word we say carries a deep meaning and a connection with our roots. It is important that our children and grandchildren also have the opportunity to be proud of their heritage.

Along with KBSU, the Kabardino-Balkarian State Agrarian University named after V.M. Kokov and the State National Library of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic named after T.K. Malbakhov became the venues for the educational event in Nalchik. In total, over 200 venues were organized in the cities and districts of Kabardino-Balkaria for those wishing to test their knowledge.

The dictation was also written in other regions of our country: in Adygea, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania, in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories. Participants also registered abroad: in Turkey, Jordan and Syria.

According to preliminary data, more than five thousand people joined the event.

The results of the dictation will be available in a few days on the website of the International Circassian Association
