Admissions campaign 2025 has started at KBSU
Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov has started recruiting students for 2025. Already on the first day of the Admissions Committee’s work, an active flow of applicants is noticeable. They have the opportunities of the Medical Academy, eight institutes, the Higher School of International Education and four colleges — a total of over 300 educational programs. KBSU plans to accept over 5,500 people, of which 1,639 are on a budgetary basis.
The admissions campaign at KBSU is provided with high-tech support. The use of an electronic queue system, online admission, cryptographic data protection, as well as the availability of trained consultants and volunteers ensures maximum accessibility and convenience of the admission process to the university.
According to the social policy of the university, 20% of budget places are allocated for preferential categories. This year, 87 quota places are guaranteed for families of SVO participants and children of Heroes of Russia and the same number for orphans, children left without parental care, and disabled people of groups I and II, disabled people from childhood or after a military injury.
Targeted training allows to significantly increase the chances of admission and guarantee employment. KBSU offers applicants 342 targeted places.
A record number of targeted places this year were received from the Kabardino-Balkarian Ministry of Health in the specialty programs «General Medicine», «Pediatrics», «Clinical Psychology» and in residency in popular areas, including «Anesthesiology-Resuscitation», «Psychiatry», «Infectious Diseases», «Neurology», «Therapy», «Oncology» and others.
There is a target personnel need in all municipalities of the KBR, but the districts with the highest activity stand out:
– Chereksky District: the administration and the education department offer places in IT, pedagogy, construction;
– Elbrus District: the administration finances the training of builders;
– Baksan and Baksansky District: invite future teachers, builders and engineers;
– Nalchik: medical organizations and IT companies.
For applicants, this is a chance to get an education and return to work in their home district.
KBSU actively encourages applicants by awarding additional points to the results of the Unified State Exam for special achievements. For example, 10 points are added for having a certificate with honors (gold or silver medal), for winning the Abilympics and Professionals competitions; 3 points — for a gold GTO badge. The entire list can be found on the university website.
Among the innovations: for the first time, budget places have been allocated for the Clinical Psychology and Preventive Medicine programs. The Pedagogical College is opening a specialty called Jurisprudence, after completing which you can enroll in a correspondence course at a law school. A specialist in Mathematics is being introduced.
An application for admission to KBSU can also be submitted remotely, through the university’s electronic information system or through the super service «Online University Admission» on the State Services portal or through postal operators (documents required for admission must be submitted on time).
Acceptance of documents for budget places for bachelor’s and specialist degrees will last until July 25 (for areas where internal university entrance examinations are provided, documents must be submitted before July 15), for the secondary vocational education level — before August 15.
