A new academic year has started at KBSU

It is done. Finally came the long-awaited September 1, which means, at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov begins a new academic year, and the whole republic celebrates the Day of Statehood of the KBR and the Day of Knowledge.

Usually, on this day, the university is full of joyful events and many activities with the participation of a large number of our energetic and cheerful students, and in particular freshmen. But this year, due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19, all mass events have been canceled.

In honor of three important holidays, the State Flag of Russia was raised over the main entrance of the KBSU in the presence of the rector, university activists and a small number of freshmen, to the sound of the Russian anthem.

The rector addressed the freshmen with a warm welcoming speech:

You are entering the next stage of life, where new friends, teachers and interesting meetings await you. The university has done everything possible to make you enjoy studying with us. We also took care of protecting you from possible risks and ensuring your safety by taking all the necessary measures. Happy holiday to you. I wish you success on the new path that you have chosen.
Note that this year KBSU accepted more than 3000 freshmen into its ranks.
