A meeting with schoolchildren participating in a training camp on unmanned aerial systems was held at KBSU.
The Institute of Electronics, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (IERAI) of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov held a meeting with students from the T. M. Eneev Regional Center for the Identification and Support of Gifted Children «Antares.» The visit was organized as part of a training camp dedicated to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The university’s guests were schoolchildren already involved in technical creativity and currently studying the topic of UAVs in depth. The students were greeted by the Institute’s Director, Zamir Shomakhov, and the IERAI’s Scientific Director, Beslan Shogenov.
«Such contacts with supplementary education centers help schoolchildren better understand what they would like to do in the future, and we are ready to support such initiatives,» Zamir Shomakhov emphasized.
The event began with a visit to the Military Training Center (MTC) at KBSU. MTC instructors discussed the current development of unmanned aircraft, the differences between different models, and the tasks they solve. After the lecture, the students were given a tour, including a tour of the classrooms and equipment used for training. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and interact with those already professionally mastering this field.
The meeting was a rich and engaging experience. KBSU holds similar events regularly—they help build connections between the university and the republic’s continuing education centers, and they allow the students to see the university from the inside.
