The print center publishing house has published a short dictionary, a reference book on Kabardino-Circassian and Russian phraseology by Doctor of Philology Nadezhda Umarovna Vorokova.

In 1977, Nadezhda Umarovna graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov with a degree in Philology. Russian language and literature». Since 1983 she taught at the Department of Russian Language and General Linguistics of KBSU. In 2003, at the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic «Ethnocultural specificity of idioms.» Nadezhda Vorokova is a participant in many international and regional scientific and practical conferences, the author of two monographs. From 2012 to the present — Professor of the Department of General Humanities and Socio-Economic Disciplines of the North Caucasus State Institute of Arts.

“I was very interested in what is the originality of each language in stable figurative expressions. It is interesting when a phraseological unit has the same meaning, but relies on different images. This means that you can penetrate into the mystery of the imaginative thinking of the people,” — says Nadezhda Vorokova,“ I wrote my doctoral dissertation on this topic, and then I decided to turn the material into a dictionary. It will be interesting for learners of the Kabardian language through Russian or vice versa. I used the technique that the famous scientists Veronica Telia and Rudolf Yarantsev have already used. The difference between the Kabardino-Circassian phraseology and the Russian one is the phrases that are perceived by the native speakers as one word. The theory of phraseology in the Kabardian language has not been developed. And I tried to express my opinion ”, — told the Doctor of Philology to Gazeta Yuga.
