A competition for future counselors was held at KBSU

On May 31, 2023, 8 teams of students from the Pedagogical College of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov took part in fun sports competitions, which are the traditional end of the instructive and methodological camp for preparing students for the summer practice of the specialties «Teaching in primary grades» and «Preschool education».

This year, Merry Starts was attended not only by future teachers, but also by future lawyers studying at the college. In addition, two of the eight teams were men’s. As noted by Sakima Posholova, Deputy Director for CPR of the PC of KBSU, the format of «Merry Starts» helps the children to develop the skills and abilities of organizing and implementing the activities of a detachment counselor of a summer children’s camp, which are formed by students in an instructive-methodical camp.

The participation of students of the Pedagogical College in summer teaching practice is aimed at gaining professional experience in creating conditions for the full interaction and communication of the child with peers and adults, the socialization of students in the conditions of summer holidays,

The teams of tomorrow’s counselors competed in drill training, strength, dexterity, ingenuity and speed during the passage of various relay races organized by Aslan Bekulov, a teacher of physical education of the PC KBSU. In the competition «First Aid for Injuries», representatives from each team had to bandage one or another part of the body to the «injured», when scoring, the jury took into account the time and correctness of the manipulation. And, of course, it was not without the creation of a beloved, cheerful «Mummy». The performances of the teams were evaluated by a fair, impartial jury, which included the director of the pedagogical college Fatima Ashabokova, the head of the department for youth policy and educational work of the KBSU Hizir Mashukov, deputy director of the PC for academic work Marina Halishkhova, deputy director of the PC for educational work Zarina Ozrokova, teacher of the PC for physical education Mikhail Tezhaev. According to the results of the competition, the third place was taken by the girls’ team «Kometa» (group 3opK), the men’s team «Adrenaline» (group 2opYu) and the girls’ team «Innovators» (group 3opN) took the second place. The winning teams are the men’s team «Champion» (group 3opF) and the girls’ team «Jolly Fellows» (group 2ppD). The rest of the teams received participation certificates.
