150 participants of the career guidance project of the Ministry of Youth met at KBSU

September 26, 2023 Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov joined the project of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic — the forum-excursion “Where you were born, you came in handy there.”

The project is being implemented within the framework of the program for the comprehensive development of youth policy in the regions of the Russian Federation “Region for the Young”, aimed at involving young people in socially active activities and consolidating them in their native territories.

Over 150 students in grades 9-11 from educational institutions in the city. Prokhladny, Prokhladnensky and Maysky municipal districts met with employees of the department for pre-university preparation and career guidance work of KBSU, student activists of the university, in order to learn first-hand about all the intricacies and nuances of entering the university and the benefits of studying, as well as get acquainted with the territory of the KBSU campus and visit some educational departments.

Representing the university, the head of UDPiPR Albina Vindizheva emphasized that KBSU is a classic university with a huge number of popular areas of training in the most current specialties.

This year there were a lot of budget places, and they were not only in technical areas of training, but also in humanitarian ones. To enroll on a budget, you need to have the required number of points. And here it is important not only to pass the exams well, but it is also good to have additional points that you can earn by participating in KBSU Olympiads, having a volunteer book, a TRP badge and other individual achievements, a list of which is on the KBSU website in the “Applicants” section. The targeted direction also helps you get into a budget place, so I advise you to take care of getting it in advance.
KBSU also has four colleges where you can enter without exams, and after graduating from college, you can enter any university based on the results of internal tests.

Recommendations on how to properly prepare for entering a university were given to high school students by the deputy head of the department for pre-university preparation and career guidance at KBSU, Galina Karsakova, noting that first of all they need to decide on their future specialty, select the necessary set of disciplines for which the Unified State Exam will be held.

Having divided into groups, the schoolchildren visited the scientific laboratories and training centers of the Institute of Chemistry and Biology, visited the multifunctional dental simulation training center of the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery, and got acquainted with the high-tech methodological and educational equipment of the pedagogical college, where they train teachers of the future.

The next point of the extensive forum-excursion program, where high school students from Prokhladny, Prokhladnensky and Maysky municipal districts went, was the Kabardino-Balkarian State Agrarian University named after. V.M. Kokova.

And after a tour of the Atazhukinsky Garden in the city of Nalchik, the children and their mentors will have a meeting with the Minister of Youth Affairs of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Azamat Lyuev and the head of the RDDM “Movement of the First” Aslan Shipshev.
