10 days in a blink of an eye… The first university shift of KBSU for children from Zaporozhye has ended

The most high-mountainous in the country, intensive, rich, productive first university shift in 2023 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov. 118 schoolchildren from Zaporozhye spent 10 exciting days at the Elbrus educational and scientific complex of the KBSU.

It was nice to see that the guys from the very first day were actively involved in the cultural leisure program, adaptation practices, career guidance and sports events. The team of the department for youth policy and educational work has prepared a fairly rich program. We tried to compose it in such a way that, in addition to the educational part, they could get acquainted with the customs, culture, traditions of the peoples of Kabardino-Balkaria, with the beauty of our nature, which has healing properties,

— stressed the acting. KBSU vice-rector for educational work and social issues Sultan Gekkiev.

Recall that KBSU became a participant in the project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Russian Movement of Children and Youth «University Shifts» in 2022. The project is aimed at personal development, self-determination, socialization and career guidance of students from educational organizations in new regions of the Russian Federation, and it is not surprising that the number of people who want to have a good rest on the basis of KBSU is growing every year. So, in 2023, the university is waiting at its base for about 600 schoolchildren aged 14 to 17 from the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

As part of the implementation of the project «University Shifts» on the basis of the Elbrus Educational and Scientific Complex of the KBSU, four streams are planned from July 28 to August 6, 2023, from August 9 to 18, 2023, from August 21 to 30, 2023, from August 3 to 12 September 2023.

This project is being implemented in the Russian Federation by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth for the second year in a row. Last year, I also met with the administration of the university with children from new Russian regions, and this year I want to note that the level of the program, approaches and formats are being improved. Indeed, today we can clearly say that this program is producing its effects, its fruits. I know that the guys who were on the shifts last year are still friends, communicate with our student youth, exchange various projects, information, and this is great,

The large-scale program of KBSU university shifts contains about 10 modules on education, cultural and patriotic education, professional training, as well as sports, excursion, leisure profiles.
